Dear
Gail & Lloyd:
I would like you to know how much my son and I enjoyed our
entire relationship with
Paris Sleeps.
Lloyd's help in processing the rental of the
apartments from this side was appreciated and, of course,
William Leroux's efforts in settling us in and helping
us with some of our needs in Paris proved most valuable.
Your web site is well designed and quite useful with its
information regarding
bus lines
and nearby
metro stops.
Although three stops (Solferino,
Assemble Natonale,
Musee d'Orsay)
are noted for the apartment at
272, Blvd St. Germain,
perhaps for orientation purposes, the one we found to be
most useful was
Assemble Nationale
via sortie l'Universite. The reason: you exit
directly across from that apartment on
St. Germain.
What a great selling point that is!
Also, most enlightening are the pictures of the apartment
and interiors and, of course, the floor plans
which can be enlarged when downloaded. Other links at you
web site were used and we did utilize PariShuttle on
our arrival.
The apartment at
13, rue de l'Ecole Polytechnique was,
in my opinion, a good choice. It was
compact but modern and
although on the 5th floor, it was not a problem for
us because of the elevator. We would most
enthusiastically recommend
Paris Sleeps
to others.
As a matter of interest, I used Change Notre-Dame at
9, rue d'Arcole to
convert 60 Euros into $75 US
which I think was a good rate at 1.25 (.80). I used a
VISA credit card extensively; it turned out to be at a
rate of around 1.31 but using a Bank of America VISA
debit card at a BNP Parisbas ATM proved to be a
better deal at a conversion rate 1.2686. I found it was
better to draw Euros from my checking account at B of A and
pay cash (only too late).
Again, we enjoyed our stay immensely at your apartments.
Our Best Wishes,
Phil & Tim Ticer

You have a beautifully maintained website. Well done! As well,
your apartments look wonderful! As I enjoy Paris by myself (at least for the time being :), I think
my next trip will include an apartment rather than a Hotel because I LOVE to cook. I think it would add so much to the total experience to have the freedom and my pleasure at cooking!

Hi there!
My husband and I just got back from Paris, where we met an American couple who were staying in one of your apartments. They raved about it and gave me the web address. (Unfortunately, I didn't get their name. I believe that they may have been staying at one of the
Ecole Polytechnique apartments. I think they said they live in Minnesota.)
I hope that the next time my husband and I go, we can stay in one of your charming places!!

Hi Gail,
It is a pleasure to be able to write you once again. The last time we visited we stayed at your
Polytechnique apartment. We are thinking of visiting you once again either just after Christmas or in the Spring. Please advise as to which time offers the best rates. Sharon is interested in perhaps a different location.

What a terrific site! Clear photos, floor plans, nice descriptions. I am trying to organize a visit of about one week (6 or 7 nights) in July (probably 12-18th) for my 16 year old niece (her first time in Paris!).
Found your site via a Google search. We could make do with a one bedroom with a sleeper sofa. Thanks for any assistance you might provide.

Our
Paris apartment was just perfect! It was
roomy, clean, and
ideally located in the heart of the city.
We loved that the Metro and
cabs were close by for the rare times we
didn't want to walk. Gail from Paris
Sleeps met us to explain everything about the apartment and
provided lots of helpful information about things to see and do. It
was like being home away from home. I doubt if we'll ever stay in a Paris
hotel again!

 "The
fourth floor apartment on Rue de l'Ecole Polytechnique is
fast becoming my home away from home in Paris. We've stayed
in this apartment three times, and while I've considered
trying one of Gail's apartments in a different part of the
city, we've always chosen to revisit this neighborhood which
has it all."
"
Within two blocks we could catch a
bus, do our
marketing,
choose a restaurant serving any one of a number of cuisines
(French too), or take in the stately beauty of the Pantheon.
A few more blocks would bring us to Luxembourg Gardens in
one direction or Boulevard St. Germain in the other.
Bus
and Metro stops were located adjacent to each. We adapted
to Paris life quickly with Lloyd's assistance prior to departing
and Gail's meeting us upon arrival. The orientation she
provided helped us to get our bearings and we used the maps
and guidebooks in the apartment daily. Gail runs her business
locally. Her care and commitment to her clients and apartments
is reflected in all we have seen her do. It's her personal
touch that we remember and the reason we're planning to
return to Paris and to Paris Sleeps."
A Very Satisfied Guest

Gail,
I stayed in the apt in Rue Bretonvilliers in Sept/Oct 2001 and loved it, talked about it so much that now some of my friends want to rent an apt from you as well.
They and I are thinking of visiting Paris in May 2003, and are looking at the
apt on Rue St. Germain. There will be four of us, and the size and location
sound perfect. We do not have a definite date but will contact you as soon as we
decide.
Looking forward to seeing you and Paris again!

Dear
Gail,
I wanted to let you know what a wonderful two week visit we had
to Paris and to thank you and William for your
contributions to the visit’s success.
The apartment on the
Ile
St. Louis
was ideal for our needs. It was
comfortable,
quiet, and
well equipped –
just the right balance of charm and functionality. The location of the
apartment was excellent for our first stay in Paris. Not only
was it
conveniently situated to go by foot and by
Metro
to the major sights of the city, but the location made the
acquisition of
cheese,
bread,
and
pastries
very easy. In fact, the
cheeses
we discovered were one of the high points of our stay and we
would not have been introduced to them so early or sampled them so
frequently but for the nearness of the fromagerie. I hope that we
maintained the apartment up to your standards.
Dealing with you, William, and Lloyd has, in every case, been
pleasant and satisfying. We will certainly plan to work with you
again in arranging our next Paris visit.
Finally, let me add that Nancy and I found the Parisians to be
delightful people. We encountered no rudeness and only rarely
indifference. In almost all of our interactions with them, the
Parisians were as pleasant and accommodating as one could wish.
Sincerely,
Bob

My husband, myself and our two-year old stayed at
Notre Dame des Champs for a month during summer 2003.
What an experience! We are late in driving from Amsterdam. But Gail was there with wonderful goodies and a smile for the weary. Since I frequently travel to France, I swear I will only use Paris-Sleeps for my long-term stays. Forget hotels--the apartment, location were all that and then some.

In June 2004, I am taking 3 of my grand-daughters plus my husband, my daughter, and my daughter-in-law to Paris for a week. I need to find our apartment(s) and reserve them in advance. We want the 4 adults in one apartment and the 3 girls (ages 22, 18, and 17) on another apartment.
What do you recommend?
My husband and I LOVE apartment-living in Paris and now will not stay in hotels. Your apartments are lovely.
Looking forward to hearing from you, and hoping your day is a blessed one.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of your apartments in 1998 for 9 nights.
Needless to say, because of our good experience with you we went through hunting down your information in our overloaded bookcase, looking up a website on the Net, calling the Florida number to see if you still exist, and lo and behold, here we are again. We stayed at
#13, Rue de l'Ecole Polytechnique and I see it's still on your site. We are looking at a vacation with friends next May or June and we're shopping now.
Glad to see you're still in business and hope all is going well.
