his is a large studio apartment on the
ground floor of a 17th Century building located on the east side of the Ile St. Louis. It
is situated on a quiet little street surrounded by other 17th century structures. When
entering the building from the street you come upon a beautiful cobble stoned courtyard
filled with flowers. The apartment has wood beamed ceilings plus there are three windows,
two onto the street and one in the kitchen looking onto the lovely courtyard.
The
kitchen is newly remodeled with new tile, glass cupboard
doors, full stove and under the counter refrigerator. It
also has a coffeemaker, microwave and all necessary cooking
utensils. The living/dining area has a table and chairs
for meals, a sofa bed which sleeps one, and a TV and radio, among
other items. In the back is the bedroom with a standard
French bed, armoire and nightstands. The newly remodeled
bathroom can be reached from this part of the studio and
it has a toilet, shower, sink, and shelves for linens.
The
Ile St. Louis is the most sought after real estate in Paris.
Because it is relatively small, one feels that they are
on their own private island. The quieter east side of the
island especially evokes these feelings. The wealthy and
famous choose this special place for their homes. There
are lovely little shops on the main street which have just
about anything that you could want. The famous Berthillon
ice cream shop is just a few blocks away. This apartment
would work perfectly with our other location on the Ile
St. Louis for parties of 3 and 4 traveling together.

The
Paris Sleeps experience...
"We
loved the neighborhood. Whenever we walked across the bridge,
it felt like we were going to a romantic, oasis retreat.
It was magical! The apartment itself was calm, quiet, spotless,
comfortable and roomy for us both. The kitchen and bathroom
were wonderful, the furnishings were cozy, and we loved
the dinning area, classical CD's and down comforter."
"We
especially appreciated the e-mail contact with Lloyd and
Gail before the trip, which was helpful. The follow-up in
every step of our planning was excellent. When we got there,
Gail was amazing. She met and welcomed us and provided us
with a great introduction to the metro system, museums and
the city! The metro pass and phone cards were also great.
Her availability by phone during the stay made us feel at
home." - Louise and Jim, San Francisco
